FDA/CDC Approved Formula Begins Shipping this Week
Khrysos Industries, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Youngevity International, Inc. (NASDAQ: YGYI), a multi-channel lifestyle company operating in three distinct business segments including a commercial coffee enterprise and a commercial hemp enterprise, announced today that it has begun producing hand sanitizer in various sizes including two ounce, four ounce, 8 ounce, and one gallon packaging. Khrysos was granted a license by the FDA to begin producing hand sanitizer in its Orlando, Florida facility.
The company disclosed that there is retail distribution demand for hand sanitizer, as well as a demand within the health care system including retirement homes and hospitals. In 2019, Khrysos brought online a state-of-the-art facility that features a 46,200 square feet production area, including 5,200 square feet of class C7 sterile capable workspace. With this facility, the company is well equipped to produce and meet the urgent need for hand sanitizer due to the impact of the coronavirus.
“Our operation positions us to help meet the high retail and healthcare demand for hand sanitizer, which protects against the spread of COVID-19,” said Dwayne Dundore PhD, President of Khrysos. “It takes tremendous effort to source all the components, especially the packaging material, to produce this product, but our team is up for the challenge given the magnitude of the need.”
“We began shipping hand sanitizer today and expect to ramp up production as necessary to meet the demand that is still in short supply,” said Dave Briskie, President and CFO of YGYI. “Our Khrysos team takes great pride in providing this product, especially to the nurses and doctors out there on the front line fighting for those inflicted with this horrible virus.”
