Mr. Allodi is CEO & Co-Founder of Philo Broadcasting, a media holding company that includes award-winning digital content studio Philo Media and highly regarded broadcast television production company Backyard Productions. Philo is headquartered in Chicago with production offices in Los Angeles.
Prior to founding Philo Mr. Allodi, a veteran of the communications and mobile software industry, joined internet billing & customer management start‐up Portal Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRSF) as President in 1996. Backed by venture capital firm Accel Partners and following a successful IPO in 1999, Portal achieved peak annual sales of $268M and a market cap of $6B. Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) acquired Portal in 2006. Prior to joining Portal Mr. Allodi spent ten years with Communications Industry Division of Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) where he was VP Global Billing & Customer Care practice.
Mr. Allodi is Managing Partner of KBA Holdings, LLC, a private equity investment firm active in the digital media, hi-tech, alternative energy and bio-tech industries. Allodi serves as a Partner, Ltd. Partner, Director and/or Advisory Board member to several portfolio companies including G2T3V LLC, uBid, IMI Innovations, Inc., Ridge Partners LLC and is on the Board of Directors of FNBC Bank & Trust.
Mr. Allodi is Board Member Emeritus of San Miguel School Chicago. He founded and chaired for ten years the annual SCHOOL ROCKS benefit concert at House of Blues Chicago which has raised over $3M for SMS, an inner-city school that provides an accessible middle school education serving at-risk children and their families in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood.
Mr. Allodi and his wife Nancy reside in suburban Chicago.
